Canadian icon Gord Downie (The Tragically Hip) released a ten song album accompanied by a graphic novel, illustrated by Jeff Lemire, that tells the true story of Chanie Wenjack, a twelve year-old boy who died while trying to return home after escaping an Indian residential school in 1966. The novel was transformed into an animated film for broadcast on CBC. Morro Creative was honoured to animate two complete songs for The Secret Path project.
